Squirrels

What am I looking at? Squirrel s You can't see them, but they are in there. I want one. REAL BAD. Oh, it sounds like squeaks and little chatters to the bipeds, but believe me.They are saying things like "Nanny, nanny, booboo" and"Hey! Stoopid Dog! Come get me. I dare ya, I triple DOG dare ya! OOOO, that's right. You CAN'T!" and more stuff. Some of it even HBO stuff! They even come down and run along the fence, get up on the roof. Just to taunt me!!
I'll get one someday. Just you wait!!
I wanted to answer some questions some of y'all asked. Yep,I like to be groomed. (Except I'm not crazy about my feet being done. Specially my nails!) Other than that I pretty much enjoy it. Only if Mom does it though. Y'all do know she was a groomer besides a nurse. So she already had all the stuff she needed for me when she got me. Only once did I go to someone else. Mom was real busy or something, and took me to a lady that was supposed to be real good. All we know is that something happened there and I ended up in emergency surgery on my stomach. I had gastric torsion some call it bloat. Anyhow the stomach turns over. You can look it up in wikipedia if you want rather than Mom explaining it all here. I was very lucky that Mom recognized what was going on and got me right to the vet. Lots of dogs don't make it and lots have parts of their intestines die off or their spleen involved and things have to be removed. I had none of that. My stomach is firmly sewed to the side of me and I'm totally normal. I just eat my blue buffalo dry food wet (so it will expand all its going to before I eat it.) NO rawhides. I have a cow femur I chew on which suits me just fine! And I can have some of the chew bones and my FAV bully sticks! Anyhow, that's a long way of getting round to why no one will ever groom meagain besides Mom. (I wasn't even 2 yrs old when that happned . Very unusual, but the vet and Mom figured somthing happned while I was there.) Oh, and 4B's, I love to get dirty and roll and paw in the dirtand mud too. That's fun! But, I do enjoy the grooming part too. Now that I'm all public and stuff, I gotta look good, right?
Mom says she has to "get busy". Before she goes I want her to write for me Thanks to all the dogs that supported and appreciated my finding and eating the chips and saltines! Boy were they good!!!
Hugs to you all
Sunny(who WILL catch a squirrel someday)
off to my big fuzzy ball, later

We go to the groomer every 6 weeks, but nothing bad has happened to our stomach. We are glad that you were able to get it fixed really quick.
Be careful with that squirrel. Remember that they can crack nuts with their teeth.

Hi Sunny! I know you WILL catch a squirrel some day and I hope your mom is there to catch it on her camera! I would be way too afraid to ever attempt something like that!

No wonder you are so beautiful! You are lucky that your mom was/is a groomer.

Hi Sunny, The 1st pic of you is so cute. Hope you get a squirrel. I have been offline for a few days due to major ISP server problems, so am catching up with my favourite blogs. I have added yours to my RSS reader. I haven't transferrd all my stuff to blogger yet but I will have lots of Poodle posts when we get our new pup Dixie at the end of the month. Until then you can see some pics of our beloved Poody girl Missy-Moo who passed away about 2 months ago here.

Sunny, you're so lucky your Mom knew what was happening and got you to the vet so fast! I'm so glad for that!

I don't mind being brushed, but other than that, I HATE grooming. The Girl can't even cut my nails, I'm so bad. (And she's a scaredy-cat, too!) And having a bath means THE WORLD IS OVER.

But I sure like squirrels... they don't come around here often enough!

Brown dog kisses,
Dannan and The Girl
