Texas coast If you need a place to come hurry & read

I thought maybe a more dramatic title might help!See previous post. Ok guys I am drop dead serious and I don't want anyone to run out of time. You and your dogs OF COURSE are invited. please read prior post for details. I'll be mighty upset if somebody or some doggie gets hurt. Come here and we will make a way!! It isn't a long drive either. Denton-I can give you easy directions. Hell, it might even be fun. An adventure. Look at it however you want, but if you need to evacuate, and need someplace YOO HOO. Here we are, waiting. They say late Friday or early Sat. Ike will be there If you don't come here, just go somewhere! Ok. I've done all I can short of begging. Just know you have a place to go!!

This is so kind of you. As someone who lived on an island off the coast of South Carolina (and whose mother lives there now) I can really appreciate the generosity of your offer.

Praying for a gentle storm,

Petey's Mom

What a sweet thing to do, offer your home for storm refuges.

We have lots of human friends in Galveston and we're worried about them, but we;re sure they'll move out. This morning NPR said, evacuate or die. Here in South Florida, we take those kinds of warnings very seriously.

Where in Texas are you? The storm is big enough to affect almost the whole state and beyond -- all the way over to Pensacola, Florida.

So stay safe -- and don't forget to add us to your list of pals.
