Pawlitics & a personal opinion

I love dog blogs. Been reading DWB for over a yr, maybe 2, not sure. Been talking to Brooke(Opy's mum) long enough that she emailed me when I finally started mine,"about bloody time". lol.

I am going to give a personal opinion here. I don't think human politics-esp our presidential race, have any place on a dog blog. People who wish to blog about politics are welcome to have a political blog. I know, free speech. But I'd rather limit my exposure to the negativity on the news or newspapers. And I do not want it to escalate as the election gets closer. Personally, my dogs do not give a crap who is running, why or who wins.

DWB folks are like family. In our family, we never discussed religion or politics at large extended family functions. Made for much more pleasant reunions.

I have strong political beliefs. I do not intend to discuss them or the presidential candidates here. I just do not feel that this is the place for it.

Ok, that is my personal opinion. You may not agree. That is,of course, your right. I have singled no one or no doggy out. I just want to enjoy my dog blogs!

That's all I had to say. The dog blogging will resume with next post.

Hugs
Jamie

I agree my viewpoint is that blogs are for good wholesome fun & interaction with other bloggers from around the world.

Here in Tasmania & the rest of Australia we are bombarded with all the US political campaign, it's reaching "Im sick of hearing it" point. I don't give a rats about Australian politics, so I certainly don't care for those of other countries. Just sayin'

Mango Momma here,
I have to confess that on days when Mango's pals are talking about any topics not related to dogs I just kind of skip over them. I figure this is Mango's world and he has enough trouble distinguishing between Joey and Tanner without thinking about world events.

I live, eat and breathe politics outside of my "doggie" life. The DWB experience is my escape. I tend not to comment on dog blogs that get political.
Great post, Jamie!

Uh-oh, does that mean you want your award back? We were coming to pick it up. We try to keep the servant on track, we really do. But she's human after all, so we must spend a lot of time forgiving her and loving her anyway. And she's all wound up because she lives in a HOTBED of terrible prejudice. She also figures that if she can't express how she feels on her own blog, where can she?
We won't post the award until you say it's still ok. And we're very sorry if she upset you.

I don't mind if other dog bloggers vary from the usual dog stuff.

Some can only manage one blog, others like to make them different.

I don't usually comment on the politics but I don't mind reading it. Each to their own.

I have enough problems trying to keep flowers and cats and boats and birds and all sorts of other stuff off my blog. Pawlitics is the last thing I would be worrying about.
