This&That but not the little dealie, sunny&scooter make an appearance

As evening approaches, the little dealie that take pictures out of the magic picture box is still MIA.......*sigh*

However, there is spot of good news. Sunny & I may get to go on a small vacation! Just us!

I was thinking about it and not counting the trip to SA last week with Mom, it has been either 4 or 5 years since I have been more than 50 miles from here. I think 4 but who knows?? Just me and Sundog in the car!!! (Mom is always flying to California and stuff and Hawaii with my sister. So I have watched her dogs many, many, many times.) So Scooter will stay here and play with Mom's chis. I will go see a friend of mine who is also a nurse. She lives around El Paso.

Keep your fingers crossed that it all works out!! It might not sound all that exciting to some, but it is to me!!!! And the country in Texas is beautiful.

So, hopefully, this will come about. If I can get Mom's doc appts taken care of and get her to not make any next week, I'm hoping next week. My daughter and her family want to take me out for my bday, otherwiseI might think about sa or su. But....we'll see. Anyhow I'm going on a roadtrip soon! Hooray!

Ahem-yesterday was 9 weeks without a cigarette. I would like to know when it is that I will not want one again. However, all I have to think about is my granddaughter's face when my mom got sick and the ambulance was called while she was here. Just a few days earlier Sammy Whippet had died. She looked at me, said "this week can't get any worse , can it?" Then later as we drove home(Mom stayed at hospital) at 4 am she says to me "Gammy, will you PLEASE quit smoking. I can't stand it if something happens to YOU" gives me this look that would break anybody's heart, and starts quietly sobbing. You tell me... That little girl is,well, just everything to me. I imagine most grandparents feel like that, but she and I have been extremley close ever since she came out of the chute. Ya'll have probably heard enough about this on my dog blog for now! ha (hey,I'm also saving money. Cigarettes have gotten ridiculous expensive)

Hugs

YAY to finding the camera! Gratulations!
In answer to your questions from yesterday: Mom has an 18-135 zoom on her Nikon D40; not a lot of lag time between turning it on and taking the picture (like less than a second); and not a lot of lag time between pictures (unless the flash isn't ready or it's. She also has continuous shooting. 3 pictures per second.

It's great that you quit smoking! My mom quit smoking back when I was in high school and she said it was the hardest thing she ever did.

Sunny IS a hero. What a good girl to stand for you like that (and how smart of you to train her yourself) and to go get the phone! Good girl, Sunny.

I hope you get to go on your trip and you two enjoy it!

I got a Rebel XTi for my birthday and I am still struggling with using it. I need lessons!!!!!

Gosh, I'm so behind with my visiting...

Sunny did so well, she's a clever girl; and well done you re the smoking.

TY for the choice of award - I'm choosing the Golden Paw, to remind me to keep up with my DWB contacts, as most came long before the purely human blogs, I'm now in touch with via photo memes.

Congrats on your human not smoking! Tell them to keep in mind that any time they smoke inside around you pups, that the pups smoke too!

It's quite a feat and your person is doing great. Get super snuggly tonight to let them know you're proud!

How exciting! You 2 will have a blast!!
My dad quit smoking a year and almost 2 months ago. Dad used a drug called Chantex though and recommends it to lots of people because it worked so well for him. It's great because he doesn't get winded like he used to and he doesn't cough like my Grandma does and we get to spend that money on fun stuff for us dogs and my Jeeps.
Congrats on making it this far and I bet your granddaughter is extemly proud of you.
Big hugs to you!!!!
