Jamie's Sad Saturday or is it?

sometimes, I just am...sad. For one reason or another.  Or alot of things.  I think it is the human condition, so here is a poem I have framed.  I will Never quit.

                                                      Don't Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems uphill,
When the funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with it's twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When one might have won had they stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worse,
that you MUST NOT QUIT.

I won't.  Ever.  The best thing that could ever happen to you or me may be just around the corner.  Rest if you must-guess that means being sad....dunno.  But as Miz Scarlett said  "After all, tomorrow is another day"  :)
Hugs to all,
Jamie
PS when I locked myself out of the house today it only took me 45 minutes in the 90 degree F (I duz not know C) weather to get back in.  Sunny did not unlock the door for me-hmmmmmppphhh  (never mind how I landed from the 6 foot fence on the concrete....  fine, just nutty mahvelous)

Mommy learned a trick when she lived in France for the temperature, 5 C multiply times two, 10, add thirty, 40 F. It is a rough estimate, but it gets you pretty close.

Sally ann,
whilst I have lived in Germany and Greece we used Farenheit(guess cuz was military community)
I have to say, I understood NONE of your math equation. 5cx2,10add30,40F. HUUUUUUUh?
Farenheit will have to do for me. Besides you went from Centegrade to farenheit, which was backwards from where I started. My calculator can't even help me.
arrrrggghh. But I smiled!!! ;}

Reminds muzzer of birthday pawties for the hooman pups in the 70s and 80s, and she smiles.

Awww, thank you for your inspiring comment on my new blog post. I will take your advice to heart. Trouble is, I have a farm - well it is an animal sanctuary actually, and a treasure isle, and a paradise isle, so I am sucked into FB too, and so many friends are there :)

But you are right, I need to be more assertive and get my blog dogged again. Or whatever I mean.
