Well, Since mom is tired of cussing out this computer(tried 2 times to post and stupid puter shut itself off and we lost them.) Soooooo, it looks like Mom is about to go ahead and go to the Dell sale on now. She says there is enough to be frustrated about without this. She's been trying to save up and when the sale book came in the mail the other day, she thinks maybe she needs to take a look. No pictures this time because This thing is already starting to blink! ARRRGGHH.

Dell does pretty good sales, allowing you to buy more than you think you need, which is better than less than you wanted. Muzzer wanted one because they came in pretty colors.
Dad said no way was he taking a lavendar pooter to a conference.

You might look at the manufacturer's refurb store. You usually get the full warranty on a refurbished model if you get it from the manufacturer, and you can save quite a bit.
I got my current computer from geeks.com (they sell online but happen to be located up the street, so I could pick it up and avoid the shipping charge) ... it's a refurbished, debranded HP desktop that I got for like $200. But there's no manufacturer's warranty if you go that route. (Plus it didn't come with Windows, but that was okay with me as I was just going to put Linux on it anyway.)
